John Francis Mariano

It all started at 595, a modest ranch home in Central Massachusetts that became an impromptu jam space, with an emphasis on original songwriting across all genres.
Later, Stu—who never told us his last name—donated an old Hammond A100 organ and a Leslie 122 speaker. He also brought his excellent keyboard skills and stories about working as Janis Joplin’s sound tech for her manager, Albert Grossman. Stu was older than the rest of us, and rumor had it that the organ had been used by many bands in the ’60s and ’70s—and might even have been at Woodstock.
I was writing songs at lightning speed, and we were playing live in the Northeast, testing out tunes and arrangements.
What you’ll find here is music spanning 2010 to the present. These days, I go it alone as a one-man band, creating everything from demos to studio-quality recordings, with a commitment to excellence in songwriting.
